Code of Conduct for Officials
Each official will:
1.Take care and be responsible for engendering public confidence in Football and Sportsmanship.
2.Hold and maintain the basic tenets of officiating which include history of the game, integrity, neutrality, respect, sensitivity, professionalism, discretion and tactfulness.
3.Make every effort to master both the rules of the game and the mechanics necessary to enforce the rules and shall exercise authority in an impartial, firm and controlled manner.
4.Uphold the honor and dignity of the profession in all interactions with athletes, coaches, site administrators, colleagues, and the public.
5.Display and execute reasonable communications skills, both verbal and non-verbal, that instill confidence and understanding of the spirit of the game.
6.Recognize that anything which may lead to a conflict of interest must be avoided.
7.Prepare themselves both physically and mentally, dress neatly and appropriately, and comport themselves in a manner consistent with the standards of the officiating.
8.Be punctual and professional in the fulfillment of all game obligations.
9.Work constructively with each other and our governing bodies in a cooperative manner.
10.Accept responsibility for all actions taken in the course of the game.
